World Air-Space Expo, Kennedy Space Center

I did not have the chance to go to the show at the Kennedy Space Center but the weather was beautiful for it. The local news was up in arms over the traffic. There are some great pictures over at Fence Check.

Last stop on the Colling’s Foundation Tour, 7-9 Nov

The Colling’s Foundation Tour makes it last stop the weekend of 7-9 November at the St Augustine Airport before heading to American Aero for its maintenance cycle. The B-17, B-24 and P-51 will be in attendance. Another excellent year.

P-38L at the NAS Pensacola show, 14 & 15 Nov

From the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation e-letter: Siegfried “Sigi” Angerer, chief pilot for Austria’s Flying Bulls Team, will touch down behind the Museum in a Lockheed P-38 Lightning. The P-38L was a WWII American fighter aircraft with distinctive twin booms and a central housing containing the cockpit and armament. Sigi’s plane is one of only six airworthy P-38Ls in the world and will be parked in the Museum’s display area at the Homecoming Air Show as a special guest of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation.

The dates ate 14 & 15 Nov.

A lot of new photos of American Aero Services

The American Aero Services website has just had a massive update of photos on their website. Photos include updates on other restorations in their shop to include the P-51, A-36, the Corsair and a new space module mockup.
