The Fantasy of Flight Museum is in the process of setting up a new storage facility across the street from the main site that will be open for tour. Mr Weeks put on his blog that the site should be open in three months and open space in the restoration shop. Currently, an AT-11 is sitting in the new building.
The Valiant Air Command has posted plans for a future hangar at the Space Coast Executive Airport. Plans look great and it looks as if the plan is built around a future B-52 acquisition. Here is the design plans.
The VAC is hosting a salute to the Doolittle Raiders at the 2012 TICO Airshow. Five B-25 are confirmed to be attending: Barbie III, Killer Bee, Wild Cargo, Panchito, and Briefing Time. Hopefully more will attend.
The Florida Wing of Commemorative Air Force has posted their Dec 2011 newsletter online. Great story about the history of the current wing dating back to 1995 to current.
Goal is early 2014 to get the TBM in the air.
The Commemorative Air Force’s Red Tail Squadron will be in Florida with their award winning P-51C along with the mobile display. They can be visited at the New Smynra Beach airshow on 23 March and during the Sun N Fun airshow. Hopefully more Florida dates become available.
