National Naval Air Museum honors Doolittle Raiders

“The Museum’s B-25 Mitchell was recently restored in the markings of the airplane flown by Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle. He led the “Doolittle Raiders” off the flight deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8) carrier to bomb Japan on April 18,1942. The restored B-25 is now on display outside the Museum’s atrium.”
