VAC open house

From Fantasy of Flight and Kermit Weeks:
The last couple of days it’s been “All hands on Deck” taking advantage of the nice cool Fall weather to get our “Museum Lite” emptied, cleaned up, and re-stacked for our Winter Season Opening on November 10th. Hours will be as in the past – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00 am – 3:00 pm into April.
New additions to the “Museum Lite” this Season include the B-26 Marauder, Sopwith Snipe, Fokker D-VII, Traveler 4000, P-51C and several others, plus we will have some new merchandise in the gift shop as well.
The B-24 will remain available for viewing.
Kermit posted this video of his A-26 project that is being worked on in Chino.
American Aero Services will be hosting an Open Hangar Day at their facilities at KNSB on 18 November. I have been attending the past couple of years and it is highly recommended. On hand, should be the Collings’ Foundations B-24, B-17, 2 P-51 Mustangs and a host of other aircraft under restoration or storage. Maybe a P-38 will be there by then. Military vehicles will be on site as well.
They have drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs for sale. Free admission to the event but a donation of pets supplies for the Southeastern Volusia Humane Society is appreciated.
