P-40 restoration happening in Ocala

Chris Kirchner was recently profiled on the Ocala.com website with regards to his P-40 restoration. Mr Kirchner currently owns a BT-13, figures that the P-40 should be done in about a year.

Update on the Naval Aviation Musuem’s Birdcage Corsair

The EAA website has posted an update on the Naval Aviation Museum’s Birdcage on their website. This aircraft was recovered from Lake Michigan last year and should be on static display sometime next year.

Naval Aviation Museum acquires a SB2C Helldiver

The Naval Aviation Museum has acquired a SB2C-4 Helldiver that has been on the bottom of a lake near San Diego for the past 65 years. This is believed to be the only SB2C-4 in existence.

The Helldiver is now in Pensacola and at the museum. Photos here.
