It has been over ten years since the last tour of the Commemorative Air Force’s B-29 to Florida but we are happy to announce that has changed. The following dates have just been released as to where the B-29 will be. Sadly, the B-24 will not be part of this tour.
Dates along with links:
7-11 TICO Warbird AirShow – Titusville, FL
14-18 Fort Lauderdale, Florida
21-25 Florida International Airshow – Punta Gorda, Florida
27-31 Sun N Fun – Lakeland, Florida
The Wings of Dreams Museum in Keystone Heights is now host to the Collings Foundations B-25. According to the Bradford County news website, the B-25 will be on loan through 2011.
I recently found the website for a P-51 named “E Pluribus Unum” which is owned by Gary Yelington of Daytona Beach. Hope to see this plane at many of the Central Florida events.
Over at Airshow.com, the arrival of the previously owned FM-2 Wildcat of Dick Foote in Kissimmee is being reported by Jeff Thornton. The plane is now owned Dr. Bill Busch and arrived back in May 2007.
