Email from the Miami Air Museum:Wings Over Miami Air Museum would like to share a cool opportunity that is happening out at the museum TOMORROW. (note: email was from yesterday).

Our Museum has received the news that some amazing planes would like to land on their ramp. The planes include: B-25 (2 of them!), F7F (x 2), P-38, P-40, Corsair, TBM and a Zero. This is short notice for the museum, but exciting news!

Please double check with the museum on Sunday regarding any changes in flight plans.

The planes are planning to be on our ramp tomorrow afternoon and fly off to their next stop Monday morning.This Sunday, March 15th, the Texas Flying Legends Museum will launch five

World War II Warbirds from Ellington Field in Texas for a 2,200-mile journey over the ocean to perform at the 2015 St. Barth’s Bucket Regatta on the French collectivity island of Saint-Barthélemy. They will join forces during their travels with four additional Warbirds from Lewis Air Legends of San Antonio, Texas. This historic journey will be one of the largest fleets of Warbirds to travel overseas since World War II ended.

Please note: Weather may prevent or slow the plane’s arrival into Miami, so please double check before you come out to the museum.

Once the planes take off, two tail numbers will be posted for people to follow the plane’s progress on www.flightaware.com. This site allows you to follow a plane  traveling with a time-lag  of few minutes.

The opportunity to see the planes will be only on the way to their airshow, they are coming back to the United States to attend Sun-n-Fun via different route and will not fly back through Miami.

Regular museum rates will apply, however museum hours will be extended until sundown around 7:00pm.

The museum is located in Kendall, at 14710 SW 128 street, Miami Executive Airport (Tamiami Airport) – far west side of airport.

On the last day of Act 2 operations, we took tour of the Kermit Weeks’ bombers that are stored in the Golden Hill facility across the street from the main hangar. A trolley would drive visitors back and forth through out the day to the two buildings that stored various ariframes, parts and aviation memorabilia.
