VAC Ribbon Cutting Cermony on 16 June

The Valiant Air Command will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on 16 June for the opening of the new Vietnam War hangar. This hangar was started about a year and half ago and will honor the memory of the men and women that fought in the Vietnam War.

Lockheed Constellation at Fantasy of Flight

The Lockheed Constellation located at the Fantasy of Flight Museum has been sold to Kermit Weeks. The Constellation sale is reported here and confirmed on the FAA Database. This aircraft was airworthy for a ferry flight from Sanford to Polk County back in 2001. Having seen this aircraft, I don’t think it will be airworthy in the future.

P-40 restoration happening in Ocala

Chris Kirchner was recently profiled on the Ocala.com website with regards to his P-40 restoration. Mr Kirchner currently owns a BT-13, figures that the P-40 should be done in about a year.

VAC 2nd Quarter newsletter posted

The Valiant Air Command has posted their 2nd Quarter newsletter on their site. Most of the news is about their recent airshow but the VAC is close to getting their TBM ready for flight, hopefully in June.
