This time lapse video has been posted showing the engine swap on “Precious Metal”.

According to the CAF Gulf Coast Wing’s website, they will be bringing their B-17 “Texas Raider” to the Valiant Air Command’s airshow on March.

The staff at Sun N Fun have announced that the Wednesday show on 22 April will be “Warbird Day“. Flying demos will focus on fighters and bombers from WW2, Korea and Vietnam eras.

• The Texas Flying Legends Museum (A B25 Mitchell will fly in, accompanied by a fighter escort. It will be attacked by a REAL Japanese Zero, then fought off in an epic dogfight by a Chance-Vought Corsair)
• The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team
• Lee Lauderback from Stallion 51 Flight Operations
• Gregory W Colyer/Ace Maker Airshows‘ T33 Shooting Star Demo
• The CAF Red Tail Squadron‘s P-51 Mustang

Details are still being fleshed out but it looks like the CAF B-24 will be touring around Florida during April and May. I figure that it will be at Sun N Fun.

Update: The B-24 will be in Deland at the CAF hangar the week after Sun N Fun. (added 12 Jan 2015)

Other aircraft will be part of the tour but they are still to be determined.

“Well, folks, construction delays being what they are, and nothing ever being simple when it comes to opening attractions to the public, it looks now like our museum-opening will be pushed back until end of January/beginning of February.
