A Vietnam veteran A-4 has recently taken to the sky in Sanford. BuNo149606 was delivered to the US Navy in 1962 and served until 1976. Deployments include time on the USS Hancock and USS Bonne Homme Richards. This aircraft was sold for scrap in 1985 and purchased by Skyhawk Ventures in January 2004.
This A-4C has been under restoration for the past 7 years and is owned by Skyhawk Ventures.
On December 17, the American Aero Services in New Smyrna Beach will be hosting an open house at their facility. The Collings Foundation’s B-17 and B-24 will be there for their winter maintenance.

Reports from Reno are that the P-51, Galloping Ghost, piloted by Jimmy Leeward, has crashed and that he perished in the crash. There are reports of injuries are on the ground from the crash.
