From the Orlando Sentinel: Kissimmee — At this Central Florida town there’s an Oktoberfest Fly-In at Warbird Adventures/Kissimmee Air Museum on Oct. 17. The event features brats and beers along with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the World War II Fighter Aircraft Foundation’s Restoration Center Focke Wulf 190 restoration project. The Lakeland Ledger is reporting that someone broke into the Fantasy of Flight and stole an engine from the “Weeks Solution”, which was designed, built and flown by Kermit Weeks. This aircraft won 12 gold medals at the World Aerobatic Championship. More details can be found here.
